Inspiring Young Creators Through the Lens

My Kids Photography Workshops are designed to introduce children to the exciting world of photography in a fun, hands-on, and engaging way. These sessions help young people build confidence, develop creative skills, and see the world with fresh eyes—all while learning how to use a camera with purpose.

What to Expect:

📷 Practical Learning – Children will learn the basics of camera handling, composition, lighting, and storytelling through images.

🌳 Outdoor Exploration – We take the learning outside! Children will have the opportunity to photograph nature and surroundings during guided field trips to local spots like Dunnottar Woods and Stonehaven harbour.

🖼️ Creative Projects – Each child will work on a mini project, choosing their favourite images to be printed and taken home at the end of the workshop.

🎓 Supportive Environment – With a low student-to-adult ratio, kids receive plenty of guidance from an experienced photographer and trained volunteers.

Who It’s For:

Children aged 8–12 years old who are curious about photography, love being creative, or simply enjoy exploring the outdoors in a new way.

Safety & Supervision:

All activities are fully supervised by the workshop leader (a parent, PVG registered and first aid-trained photographer), with assistance from vetted student volunteers. A full child protection policy is in place, and parental consent is required for all off-site activities. Risk assessments are conducted for all outdoor sessions.
