'If a photographer cares about the people before the lens and is compassionate, much is given. It is the photographer, not the camera, that is the instrument'

(Eve Arnold)

Welcome

Hello, my name is Max, I live in Stonehaven with Kev and my two kids. We have a crazy cocker called PePe.  I have loved photography for as long as I can remember after completing my degree but over the last fews years I've realised meeting new folks as well as creating timeless photos has become a favourite part of my job.  My style is relaxed, I am much more interested in capturing your family as you are, I am not into staged posed shots although I appreciate they have their place and do include them! I believe photography is incredibly important, family life moves at such a pace it is important to capture those moments. The photos will pop up on your social media or you will come across prints in a drawer or on your phone, either way I am sure you will be glad to have them. My job is to ensure you have a great experience, to have patience and most importantly to make you feel comfortable.

I'm very interested in therapeutic photography, as I believe capturing moments in nature is good for the soul. This is an area I'm exploring further while beginning a course in counselling skills. I'm still at the start of this journey, but I’m excited to see where it leads.
