It’s not about taking photos, it’s about building memories
This time with your newborn happens only once
Newborn photography is more than just capturing beautiful images—it’s about preserving the fleeting moments that pass by in the blink of an eye. In those first few weeks, babies change so quickly, and my sessions ensure that everything is lovingly documented. But beyond the photographs, I strive to create a calm, comforting experience for new parents, offering a space to pause, reflect, and soak in these precious early days.

What to expect prior to your session
Leading up to your newborn session, my goal is to make the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible. Once you book in with me, you will receive a preparation guide with tips on what to wear, how to keep your baby comfortable, and what to bring along to your session. At your session we can discuss your preferences, special requests, and any concerns, ensuring your session is tailored to your family’s needs. Whether in my home studio or the comfort of your own home, the session will be calm, relaxed, and completely baby-led—allowing plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and capturing those beautiful, fleeting moments.
How many pictures will we receive?
(01)
The number of photos in your gallery depends on the session type you choose. For a newborn session, you can typically expect a selection of 30-60 images. If you prefer photos of just your baby, your gallery will include around 30-35 images. If you choose to include sibling, parent, and family portraits, your gallery will be larger.
How should we dress for our family session?
(02)
The first thing I always is advise is comfort! It is so important you feel comfortable in what you are wearing. I always find keeping it simple and neutral tones work best for a newborn session, no luminous colours! We can discuss further prior to your session.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
(03)
My preference is when baby is 7-10 days new, this is due to little one being all curly and sleepy. Up to 3 weeks is fine, after that point it may be more difficult to capture the sleepy photos but every baby is different. My mini newborn sessions can take babies up to 8 weeks.
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
(04)
Neither do I, so that makes two of us! It is my job to make you feel comfortable and eventually you may begin to relax and even enjoy yourself! If you do not like looking straight at camera, that is not a problem, we can work around that with different poses.
