How Legacy Sessions Work
Legacy Sessions are designed to be a gentle and meaningful experience, capturing the love and connection within your family in a way that feels natural and comfortable. Taking place in your own home, these sessions are relaxed and informal, allowing moments to unfold organically—whether it’s sharing stories, holding hands, or simply being together. There’s no pressure, no rush, just a quiet space to create lasting memories.
These sessions are offered with care and compassion, created to honour and preserve the love shared during life’s most tender moments. I understand that every family’s circumstances are different — emotionally, physically, and financially — there is no fixed fee for legacy photography. Instead, I offer these sessions on a pay-what-you-can basis. Your story matters, and it will be treated with dignity, warmth, and respect. Alternatively, if the family wishes, they can make a charitable donation to a cause close to their hearts, but this is entirely optional. It is simply to provide families with treasured photographs that honour their loved ones and keep their memory alive.

'When I first approached Maxine about a photoshoot I wasn’t sure how it would go, or even if getting photos taken towards the end of my husband’s life would be ‘appropriate’. However, the whole experience was gentle and compassionate and I will be eternally grateful to Maxine for the photos she took. She made us feel completely at ease as we chatted and laughed together, with our daughter, at home in our familiar surroundings. At the time, I was mainly looking for family photos – ones of us as a couple, with each of us with our daughter and ones as a family – to capture that moment in time. What Maxine helped to create, however, was a legacy photoshoot, capturing the love we shared and how special our family was. These photos have carried me through the darkest times and provide light when I need it most. If anyone else is in a similar position I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Maxine to help you capture memories to treasure'
